The Mason Elliott Design Process

The Mason Elliott Design Process

Design Consultation and Budget Consideration

1. A phone conversation to determine if we are a good fit for each other and if so what is the scope and urgency of your project.

2. Determining your goals and dreams and what you want to accomplish with the remodel. What do you like and dislike about your current space.

3. I would like to look at photos that you have found from Houzz, Pinterest, Magazines, or Google searches.

Planning

1. A visit to your home to see what is possible and take detailed measurements to begin the planning process along with determining a general budget that you are comfortable with investing in this project.
2. Developing floor plans and elevations to determine what is possible.
3. After we settle on an option, then developing 3D Renderings to help you visualize your new space.

Selecting Materials and Finishes

1. We then begin to make selections keeping in mind your goals, and your budget.
2. Cabinetry, countertops, hardware, plumbing, appliances, and other products need to be determined.

3. For each selection there are options that affect the function, form, and budget for your project.

Making Your Project Flow

1. Many times my clients will have or feel the need to enlist the service of an interior designer.
2. I often say it is pretty easy to make selections that pull one room together, but being certain that the entire home flows is more difficult.

3. If you don’t have an interior designer and feel the need for one, I have relationships with designers that can fill that need.

Ordering to Completion

1.  After you approve and sign off on the selections, sales agreement and payment schedule.
2.  Place orders, track and schedule your deliveries and the installation of your selections.

3. Making job site visits and phone calls to the contractors to assure that your project is installed and completed per the design.
